Travel Grant

We are awarding Travel Grant to excellent young colleagues who need financial assistance to attend VS 2027 Seoul and present their outstanding work as an oral presentation or poster display. Please read the following instruction on how to apply.

• A. Who Can Apply?

  • 1)The applicant must be under 45 years old as of May 9, 2027.
  • 2)The applicant must submit an abstract on the conference website and contribute with an oral presentation or poster display.
  • 3)Priority will be given to applicants based in countries categorized as low or lower-middle-income by the World Bank.

• B. How to Apply?

  Abstract Topics

  Step 1	Applicants must submit an abstract(s) on the conference website. The abstract must be original and must not have been published at the time of submission.
  Step 2	At the bottom of the abstract submission page, check the box "I apply for the VS 2027 Seoul Travel Grant."
  Step 3	Upload all 3 prerequisite documents listed below by the abstract submission deadline. 1) Curriculum Vitae (PDF file, no more than 3 pages) 2) Copy of your passport 3) Endorsement letter from the chair, professor or supervisor of your affiliated institution or department    (You must use the VS 2027 Seoul Endorsement Letter format. Please download it here.)
  Step 4	Applicants must complete registration for VS 2027 Seoul with full payment by the presenting author’s registration deadline.

  Assessment will begin on March 10, 2027, and the recipients will be announced in April.

  Participants are encouraged to apply for both Best oral Presentation & Best Poster Award and Travel Grant, and successful applicants will be awarded only one of these two funding.

  • Select recipients will be awarded during an official event of VS 2027 Seoul.
